How We Track Prices
Complete transparency on our data sources, update frequency, and limitations. We believe trust starts with openness.
Data Source
We track prices directly from the official Arc'teryx website. Our system accesses publicly available product pages and extracts pricing data including:
- Current sale price and original price
- Available sizes and colors
- Stock availability per size
- Product category and gender classification
- Product images
Update Frequency
Our automated system fetches fresh pricing data multiple times per day, so you're always looking at recent information.
Each product page on our site shows the "last updated" timestamp, so you always know exactly how fresh the data is. You can also manually trigger a refresh using the Refresh button in the top bar.
Our Pipeline
Fetch
We retrieve the complete product catalog from the Arc'teryx website, including all categories and collections.
Parse
Raw data is parsed into structured fields: price, sizes, colors, stock status, and product metadata.
Store
Data is cached in our database with timestamps, enabling price history tracking over time.
Display
You see clean, filterable product cards with discount percentages, price trends, and direct links to the official site.
Price History & Trends
Each product card includes a mini price trend chart (sparkline) that visualizes recent price movements. This helps you quickly identify whether a product is at its lowest price or if further discounts might be coming.
Chart legend:
Green line = Price dropping (good time to buy)
Red line = Price rising (wait or buy now)
Known Limitations
- •Prices shown are snapshot data and may have changed since our last update. Always verify the final price on the official site before purchasing.
- •We currently track the Arc'teryx US website only. International pricing may differ.
- •Stock availability is indicative and may not reflect real-time inventory.
- •We do not track prices from third-party retailers like REI or Backcountry yet (planned for the future).
